Commemorating century of hair beauty

Shiseido established its hair beauty business in 1922 and welcomed its 100^th year this year. It was a 100-year journey in collaboration with the beauty creators in Asia, and with “water,” the source of beautiful hair.

SUBLIMIC launches the 2^nd limited edition of WONDER SHIELD with gratitude for this precious “water” and with hope for the future of “water” and “beauty.”

SHARE WATER PROJECT II: Donation to WaterAid

In 2021, SUBLIMIC started the “Share Water Project” in order to share the gift of "water" with the people around the world.

SUBLIMIC supports the vision of our NGO partner Water Aid, the 2^nd limited edition of WONDER SHIELD in 2022 will also donate a portion of its sales to help with its activities.

WaterAid

An international NGO focused on water & hygiene with a vision for “a world where everyone, everywhere has clean water, toilets, and proper hygiene.” With projects in 26 countries, it supplied clean water in 2020 to homes of 300,000 people, to schools used by 140,000 people and to medical facilities used by 790,000 people.

Design collaboration with MIKITYPE

MIKITYPE

An artist who expresses calligraphy^*, which is rich in history, with his own unique interpretation. He is active in a variety of industries including fashion with his sophisticated style which has attracted attention.

*Calligraphy: a method of beautiful writing which has continued for 2000 years since the Roman era.

The art for this 2^nd limited edition will express the time of 100 years. The artwork was designed with the wish to express the dynamic beauty of water through 100 years and continuing on into the future, showing water’s continuous flow, which seems to gain thickness by recording the passing of time.

In December 2021, SUBLIMIC completed its social contribution activities through donating part of sales proceeds of limited edition of SUBLIMIC WONDER SHIELD (leave-in treatment) to WaterAid. When converted to the end impact, it will be helping about 1700 people to gain access to clean water.

SUBLIMIC believes that water is essential to our experience of beauty. It cleanses. It heals. It gives us a feeling of well-being. SUBLIMIC started SHARE WATER PROJECT to share the blessings of water with people in need by introducing the special package in collaboration with calligrapher MIKITYPE. For each one sold, we donated partial sales to WaterAid.

Our partner, WaterAid, is an international NGO (non-governmental organization) aiming “to create a world where everyone everywhere has clean water, safe sanitation, and good hygiene”. It is involved in projects in 26 countries in, including Asia, Africa and Latin America and provided access to clean water.

SUBLIMIC shares the vision of WaterAid and will continue SHARE WATER PROJECT in the future. We believe that by bringing out your own beauty, you can make a beautiful difference for people and the earth.

資生堂專業美髮為了響應這個重要的全球環境議題，發起了「水資源保育」為主題的公益活動。除了邀請日本知名書法藝術家MIKITYPE 執掌本活動的視覺企劃，並攜手國際水救援組織 Water Aid ，讓每隻商品的銷售利潤實際捐助給水資源稀缺地區。

以流動筆觸重複撰寫 WATER， MIKITYPE 將字母解構為純粹線條後再重組為幾何圖騰；隱喻水的無限循環、生生不息，串起了萬物乃至人類集體的意識行為，是這個美麗世界的生命泉源。

WaterAid

WaterAid 是一個國際非營利組織，致力於改善第三世界國家的水資源短缺問題，打造純淨水源的環境衛生系統。至2019年，它一共在26個國家/地區運營，總共服務了 402,000位居民、182,000位學童、以及 1,012,000位衛生機構的病患。

SUBLIMIC 芯之麗認同 WaterAid 的理念，2021年共同合作了 #守護美麗芯循環的水資源公益企劃，希望透過限定版全效完美防護精露的銷售捐贈額，支持WaterAid的全球水資源人道救援專案。
